- Siobhan Magnus (woah, nice recording from Siobhan. Completely in tune, not like her trainwreck live performance. I like her nice nasally vocal,if she could pick the right song to showcase that)
- Casey James (pretty good recording, almost the same as his live performance, but I really don't like this song,it's just doesn't have any good melody at all except saying the same words over and over again. I love Casey's gruff voice though)
- Michael Lynche (who knows that Big Mike is growing and growing as a performer and artist on Idol. Back then,he's just a personal trainer who can sing well but he outsings the rest of the male contestants by now. In this recording,he shows his perfect vocal,I'd say that I love this recording more than his live performance. I can enjoy the whole song)
- Didi Benami (I love love the arrangement, the rhytm/instruments that accompanied her singing is very nice. Because of that, this recording of her is in completely different league than her awful live performance)
- Tim Urban (Tim has a nice recording voice,he's just awful at performing in front of people. This recording is nice,I'm sure the tweens girl out there will swoon over this recording, although still bland)
- Andrew Garcia (nice auto-tunes accompanying Andrew's voice, and I like it. It's not accoustic like his live performance, but it's still pretty good. I don't like his glory notes in some parts in this song though)
- Katie Stevens (hmm since Katie can sing well in front of the audience,if she could get rid of her pitchiness, this recording is almost as same as her live performance. Nothing interesting though)
- Lee Dwyze (just blah. It's almost the same with his live performance. Nothing new at all in the recording)
- Crystal Bowersox (just meh,Crystal has a great voice and fantastic delivery, but this song is so old and cheesy. I'm not interested to hear this song again in my player)
- Aaron Kelly (no one can sing this song better than Kris Allen. Aaron should've not touched this song. He's lucky that I like him)
The best recording this week: Didi Benami,Siobhan Magnus,Andrew Garcia

American Idol Season 9 Top 10 Result Show
As if this season couldn't get any worse,Didi Benami went home and makes this season even worse than before.
The show started with Clash of The Titans trailer. Seriously,I wanna see that movie. Looks so awesome from the clip.
Ruben Studdard performed a song that doesn't have any hook in them and completely not catchy at all.
Usher performed a pretty okay song, and somehow the way he danced was different than usual,he looked more feminime (his dance).
Katie Stevens was in bottom 3 and the judges fighting over what genre is suitable for her. I don't think country is for her but well, looks like she won't go deep in the competition anyway.
Didi and Tim were in bottom 3 also.
P Diddy was awful
Didi Benami was the one who got the lowest of vote. Her singout was amazing, but the judges didn't save her. It's too bad. The only contestant that blew me away with her Terrified performance in Hollywood Week went home so soon because of her terrible song choices and identity crisis. Who knows Didi can go home this soon??
Next week theme?? Lennon McCartney songbook. Geez, that'd be fun right. Another one of The Beatles theme. That'd sure make the kids perform a spectacular performance. Sigh.

American Idol Season 9 Top 12 Studio Recordings Review
- Michael Lynche (the arrangement bores me to death,he has R&B soul voice for sure. Very good recording voice, but it's not my thing)
- Didi Benami (Didi's voice excels on this recording, with great melodic of the song and arrangement. I love this recording more than her live version.)
- Casey James (very bluesy country rock,I think Casey has the potential to break out on that genre)
- Lacey Brown (she got great recording voice,I love this recording. It's much better than her live performance, since in this recording, all of her off pitchs got corrected.Nice arrangement.)
- Andrew Garcia (I don't like his upper register tone, too screechy and unpleasant in my ear.I might get effin bored if I play this recording over and over again)
- Katie Stevens (I understand why people called her mini McPhee. She has a fantastic recording voice. Give her any hit songs and it'll storm up the chart for sure!!)
- Tim Urban (urgh, the song is so bland, the arrangement is so excruciating. He ruins the song. Just go away,Tim. His voice is not that bad though)
- Siobhan Magnus (I prefer her live version,it has more fire and overdramatic vibe than this recording. I always like this with Adam Lambert's recordings last year,I prefer live version over studio version. Maybe because they edited too much of their voice in the recording booth)
- Lee Dwyze (thanks God,his enunciation problem is gone in this recording. Everybody knows that Lee has a enunciation problem with his live performances. He always mumbles the words. Gosh,I love his recording voice. Since Daughtry,I haven't found a rocker voice that I enjoy from Idol, and I might get it this year)
- Paige Miles (dunno why but this Honky Tonk song is so catchy, each days I got addicted to this song melody. LMAO. Well,Paige has pretty good recording voice, she has rock soul with lil bit country-ish voice. I love it!!)
- Aaron Kelly (looks like we did found ourselves the Country Archuleta that we've been searching for, guys!! I love Aaron's voice, the recording is great, with the right song,we could find him storming up the country chart)
- Crystal Bowersox (a great indie folk recording voice, like way back then in its heyday. But I can't find myself buying her album. Still spectacular voice though, for people who like this kind of genre)
This week's stand out recording: Lee,Paige,Didi,Aaron

American Idol Season 9 Top 16 Girls Performances
Okay,I was upset that tonight's show was only 1 hour when I found out about that. Until I watched it... Here it is:
- Katie Stevens (I must disagree with the judges. For once,I loved her song choice. I liked this performance. My problem with her was she didn't have any spots in the song to showcase her powerful voice. With only around 1 minute performance,it's impossible to build the momentum within the song. But she improved tonight.)
- Siobhan Magnus (she's stepping up her game every week. Brilliant acapella at the beginning. She' no longer a darkhorse for me. She's a contender in this race for sure.)
- Lacey Brown (OMG!!OMG!!I loved this performance. Her best performance so far and one of the best performance from all the contestants these 3 weeks. I loved how heart wrenching the performance was and the connection. Her beautiful voice is showcased on every lyrics. Great job!!)
- Katelyn Epperly (the hell with the judges!! I enjoyed this performance. Last week she bored me to death with her slower Scientist performance. This week, she showed her fun personality. I hope she advances to the Top 12)
- Didi Benami (she's back!! The accoustic singer songwriter Didi that everyone loved is back. She performed the heck out of that song although her facial expression was too serious in some parts of the song but overall great performance!!)
- Paige Miles (gloomy sad song in contrast with the lyrics, but Paige showed her vocal range with her song choice. I could see what Simon saw in her. Although maybe this is the end for her)
- Crystal Bowersox (I prefer Jordin Sparks or even Kristen McNamara's version of this song. Crystal is outstanding but when she performed this song choice,I couldn't shake Jordin & Kristen's rendition out of my head.)
- Lilly Scott (old song, but I liked this performance. She stood out from the pack because she picked this country song. She could do more to impress us though.)
Overall,a fantastic night for the girls. The best girls nights performances since Season 6 Top 24 Girls. I never thought they could do it. Two thumbs up for them. Now,the guys chance to impress me tomorrow.
My rank:
1. Lacey Brown
2. Didi Benami
3. Siobhan Magnus
4. Katelyn Epperly
5. Katie Stevens
6. Lilly Scott
7. Crystal Bowersox
8. Paige Miles

American Idol Season 9 Top 20 Girls Performances
- Crystal Bowersox (I was so happy that she's not disqualified & has recovered from her illness. She delivered a solid good soulful rendition. Very truthful and she looked like a pro already. Not my fave genre of song though but beautiful vocal)
- Haeley Vaughn (I love the song,I liked this performance but it's a bit bland and went nowhere. I didn't hear as many pitchy notes as last week, the last notes were awful. I think she needs time in order to be more skillfull. She has great potential but still doesn't know what to do with it right now)
- Lacey Brown (the beginning of the song brought back the beautiful sultry tone in her voice but the bandzilla ruined it for me. She'd do fantastic if she did it accoustically or with less band. It's still not bad though for me. Great song, nice performance)
- Katie Stevens (good song choice but disappointing performance. I prefer Megan Joy's version last season. Katie has spectacular voice but I don't know why she picks awful song choices. She can't seem to pick the right one. I'd think "No Parade" from Jordin Sparks might be a good song for her)
- Didi Benami (oh woah she had a meltdown!!I didn't like this performance at all. Weird notes in the beginning, very shouty in the last part, all over the place and very uncomfortable. Why every frontrunner crash and burn right now at this early in the competition?? I can't fathom it. Every one of them hasn't performed as good as their respective Hollywood Week's performance. I'm afraid this season this show might jump the shark)
- Michelle Delamor (I didn't recognize the song because of the weird arrangement but she sang it wholeheartedly and in perfect notes/pitch. Definitely the only female gunning for the diva slot this year. I want to see her again though, with the right song she could impress me)
- Lilly Scott (ooww I think it's just okay. Adam Lambert did a way better and believable version of this song. She oversang this song in some parts, felt like a manic performance,I didn't like this)
- Katelyn Epperly (B.O.R.I.N.G !!!! It's too slow and nothing interesting about this performance. I prefer Tasha Layton's rendition in Hollywood Week, and I don't give a damn about their excuses that they're still figuring out the stage, the sound, the camera and whatever it is,since Lakisha,Elliot, etc who didn't have any experience at all back then, knocked most of their performances out of the park)
- Paige Miles (good!! My mom suddenly broke into my room and rambled about my brother. Urgh!! I couldn't hear Paige clearly because of that but I think she's very likable, has charming personality and not bad/boring at all. Fun & enjoyable performance)
- Siobhan Magnus (no one can touch Katharine McPhee's version of this song, she owned it!! Although I loved Siobhan's banshee scream in the end. LOL)
I hate hate hate tonight's show. If I had knew the performances would be this boring and mediocre with no stand out performance at all,I'd rather go out and watch Alice in the Wonderland. Sigh.
My rank:

American Idol Season 9 Top 24 Girls Performances
Urgh, the banter between Ryan Seacrest and the judges wasted a lot of time.
- Paige Miles (she's better than I expected, although judging from Simon's words, she could do better but why I got the vibe that they didn't throw her under the bus??Will she be staying for another week?)
- Ashley Rodriquez (is there something wrong with the sound system?? I couldn't hear her voice clearly when she sang the falsetto. It's too low or maybe she didn't sing those verses out loud. Her performance wasn't that bad I think, clearly better than my expectation,I just wanted her to sing louder at the mic)
- Janell Wheeler (oops wrong song choice definitely for her,it's like going nowhere, nothing interesting about this performance. Melissa McGhee from Season 5 knocked this song out of the park and Janell really fell short. She hasn't performed as great as her Hollywood Week Day 1 performance)
- Lilly Scott (very unique performance,I got the out of this world-circus-another dimension vibe,in a good way. Very refreshing. I love the melody in this performance and her beautiful vocal)
The judges upped their game tonight.
- Katelyn Epperly (better than my expectation by a miles!!Good vocal but the arrangement was too old for my taste. The outfit was horrendous, and the lipstick was too much)
- Haeley Vaughn (she shines alright!!I liked her performance though she should work on her vocal. Too many pitchy notes. Overall,I liked her take on this Beatles song that's been done to death)
- Lacey Brown (I agreed that her performance seemed forced in many parts but I thought her tender vulnerability made me love this performance. I almost cried watching her rendition. So beautiful and this performance really touched my heart. I hope she'll do a better song next week)
- Michelle Delamor (very good performance but very generic. I hate that song)
- Didi Benami (woah, they threw her under the bus. Although her performance was low key but I loved it. It had sparks in certain parts and good enough for my taste)
- Siobhan Magnus (dark haunting song and good performance but slightly dull. She's better than this)
- Crystal Bowersox (as good as I expected, her new veneer/whitened teeth distracted my attention, still a very good performance though)
- Katie Stevens (an okay performance,I was disappointed, she blew me away on her 1st audition and she hasn't done that since)
I was bummed that tonight performances were all good, nothing spectacular but luckily there wasn't any trainwreck performance.
My rank:

American Idol Season 9 Top 24 Announced
Once again,I don't get it why Idol cut some of the great contestants. Like Angela Martin today. She was definitely robbed big times!! Why didn't they give her a break?? She got the voice, she endures a lot in her life,I don't get it...I really really don't.
Janell Wheeler stumbled in Hollywood Week, many times. She makes it to the Top 24. I hope she impresses me next week.
I'm still meh about Tyler Graddy. I don't like his style, stage presence, etc. Just not my thing.
I like Lacey Brown's voice. She's different. I'm curious whether she could blow me away next week.
Crystal Bowersox is definitely a very strong girl contender. I have high expectation on her for next week. I hope I'm not gonna be disappointed.
Ashley Rodriquez,Alex Lambert,Michelle Delamor and Joe Munoz are definitely cannon fodder, but I want to see more from Joe Munoz.
Katie Stevens is one of my favorite since the beginning.
Ouch,Angela Martin. Watching this is killing me. I can't stand it watching her sad journey and history. Why oh why people like her doesn't get the break that she deserved!! It makes me feel ill.
Lilly Scott,great and unique voice.
Why they didn't show John Park's performances at all??I can't fathom it. I'm so sad for Paige Miles, she's the only one who doesn't get a single airtime of her performance. Probably eliminated next week if she doesn't perform a fantastic performance.
Can't wait for next week.

American Idol Season 9 Hollywood Week Day 1
Woah,so many good people got cut,I'm shocked and some great performances.
- Katie Stevens (she's my pick from the audition, tonight her performance was very good although I wasn't blown away by it)
- Skii Bo Ski (awful performance, bye bye douche)
- Vanessa Wolfe (I was shocked that she got cut, although her performance was pretty bad.I don't know why they spent a lot of airtime on her. I thought she gonna make it to the Top 24 by looking at her airtime quota)
- Andrew Garcia (oh woah,so good!!Amazing performance. He could be like Kris Allen, the one who rearrange every song into his own.I can't wait for more of his performances)
- Maegan Wright (I was surprised she got cut,I think she's just okay)
- Janell Wheeler (the first performance from the girl that I was really listening to closely.Could be a contender)
- Haeley Vaughn (hahaha I love Taylor Swift's Change, she performed not as quite good as Taylor but she's very good,I like her)
- Mary Powers (very good!!Definitely the rocker for this year)
- Lilly Scott (spectacular performance, why didn't they show her from the audition day,it's shocking. She should've gotten more airtime.I was truly blown away by her sweet heartwarming vocal)
- Tim Urban (very cute guy,but meh)
- Justin Williams (sexy rendition, shocking that he got cut!!!Didn't expect that at all. I'm wondering why)
- Maddy Curtis (too old of a song, great voice though,I'm so sad that they cut her)
- Casey James (OMG!!Major improvement over his audition. I could support him if he pick the right song and sing it in this kind of bluesy style. Great job,Casey!!)
- Didi Benami (oh gosh,I love Terrified. Katharine McPhee has that track on her sophomore album, and Didi knocked it out of the park. The best performance of the night for me. I almost cried,it's so beautiful,it's gut wrenching. Major points for her)
- Crystal Bowersox (I got sucked in to her performance,I felt like I really watched a recording artist's concert.Great!!)
- Bosa Mora (bad bad performance, too bad!!)
- Joshua Blaylock (nooooooooooo!!!Too bad he got cut!!I wonder how his performance was)
Ellen first day was okay for me. She said too much of a joke. It's like watching Ellen Degeneres Show. I'm not so sure about that.
My rank of today's performance:
1. Didi Benami
2. Casey James
3. Lilly Scott
4. Andrew Garcia

5. Janell Wheeler
6. Crystal Bowersox
7. Katie Stevens
8. Haeley Vaughn
