American Idol Season 9 Top 9 (Redux) Result Show

Geez, the kids are lip-synching again. Even a tree could see that their lip-synching. It's so bad!! I don't enjoy this at all.

Andrew Garcia goes home. Aaron is safe. Yes!!! Even his sing out is so boring and karaoke.

Justin Gaston CAN'T SING at all. Period. I feel bad for Brooke White, she had to harmonize with him. Brooke seems frustrated by this no good boy.

Elliot and Kara were in Africa. Kara always looks beautiful even with no makeup on.

Adam Lambert's performance like in another dimension. The laser and all, majestic!! I love the beginning part only though.

Katie Stevens goes home!! Oh noooooo!! She already making a comeback and yet the voters don't seem to love her.

Next week theme is inspirational songs. With Alicia Keys as a mentor. I wonder how that will pan out.

American Idol Season 9 Top 10 Studio Recording Review

- Siobhan Magnus (woah, nice recording from Siobhan. Completely in tune, not like her trainwreck live performance. I like her nice nasally vocal,if she could pick the right song to showcase that)
- Casey James (pretty good recording, almost the same as his live performance, but I really don't like this song,it's just doesn't have any good melody at all except saying the same words over and over again. I love Casey's gruff voice though)
- Michael Lynche (who knows that Big Mike is growing and growing as a performer and artist on Idol. Back then,he's just a personal trainer who can sing well but he outsings the rest of the male contestants by now. In this recording,he shows his perfect vocal,I'd say that I love this recording more than his live performance. I can enjoy the whole song)
- Didi Benami (I love love the arrangement, the rhytm/instruments that accompanied her singing is very nice. Because of that, this recording of her is in completely different league than her awful live performance)
- Tim Urban (Tim has a nice recording voice,he's just awful at performing in front of people. This recording is nice,I'm sure the tweens girl out there will swoon over this recording, although still bland)
- Andrew Garcia (nice auto-tunes accompanying Andrew's voice, and I like it. It's not accoustic like his live performance, but it's still pretty good. I don't like his glory notes in some parts in this song though)
- Katie Stevens (hmm since Katie can sing well in front of the audience,if she could get rid of her pitchiness, this recording is almost as same as her live performance. Nothing interesting though)
- Lee Dwyze (just blah. It's almost the same with his live performance. Nothing new at all in the recording)
- Crystal Bowersox (just meh,Crystal has a great voice and fantastic delivery, but this song is so old and cheesy. I'm not interested to hear this song again in my player)
- Aaron Kelly (no one can sing this song better than Kris Allen. Aaron should've not touched this song. He's lucky that I like him)

The best recording this week: Didi Benami,Siobhan Magnus,Andrew Garcia

American Idol Season 9 Top 10 Performances (R&B and Soul Theme)

Dear God,they spent so much time talking to Usher.
- Siobhan Magnus (oh God,why they did a damage control for her performance?? By giving her sympathy, reminding the people at home that she delivers every weeks. I was surprised that she stank tonight. I cringed when I heard her really pitchy notes. I think she's already lost her steam. I don't think she's lock for Top 2 anymore because of tonight and last week. Siobhan is unique alright but if she don't use her banshee scream, she's just okay. I hated it that the judges and Ryan trying so hard to pimp her. Geez)
- Casey James (the song is meh,but he gave everything that he got. I agree with Ellen that it's a safe song for him to sing. It's just hovering on the same parts & didn't offer much else)
I saw Jermaine Purifoy in the Casey's family seats area.
- Michael Lynche (once again,an outstanding performance from Michael. I don't like the song though,it's boring but objectivelly Michael is the strongest male contestant from that pack)
- Didi Benami (bland and I didn't feel her emotion at all,the end note was good though. I agree with the judges, she lost her way. Terrified,What I Am and Rhiannon is what she is,and not this all over the place character. And WTH Ryan pimped her backstory for?? He's so loopy tonight)
- Tim Urban (he'd be great if he hadn't had a deer in the headlight stare at the camera. The vocal is fine. Might be the best that I've ever heard from him but I couldn't stand his awkward stage presence)
- Andrew Garcia (he's back!!!Thanks to Usher,Andrew is free from his worry & paranoid thinking & performed the hell out of that song. Amazing performance)
- Katie Stevens (Simon's seriously sabotaging the show!! Katie's vocal was fantastic tonight. Completely improved. She brought the swagger to the song although I agreed that sometimes I got cold persona from her. Another one of her strong performance,me think)
- Lee Dwyze (woah,he improved so much. It's a spectacular performance. He picked the ring song, his voice was spot on,he bared it all on the stage & hold no bar. The only negative thing that I still could see was the nervousness in his eyes. It's like he scared of something. Dunno what it is)
- Crystal Bowersox (she knocked this song out of the park despite the song's been overdone to death on Idol. When I thought she focus too much on her piano playing, she stood up and gave a masterclass vocal. I didn't know that she has that range. Superb!!)
- Aaron Kelly (he did alright. This song shouldn't be done anymore though. Because it's Kris's stapple & no one should touch it. Thanks God,Aaron didn't murder that song,I still don't like his lower register though, sometimes it sounds a bit weird or off pitch.)

My rank:
1. Andrew Garcia
2. Lee Dwyze
3. Crystal Bowersox
4. Katie Stevens
5. Tim Urban
6. Michael Lynche
7. Casey James
8. Aaron Kelly
9. Didi Benami
10. Siobhan Magnus

American Idol Season 9 Top 24 Guys Performances

I think this 12 guys are the most good looking group of guys ever on Idol. I can't wait to see the tweens, cougars, etc reactions deep in the game.

- Todrick Hall (woah woah I liked this arrangement although he changed it so much but I really really enjoyed it. Totally creative)
- Aaron Kelly (Amazing!!Now we're talking!!That's the kind of performance I want to see from the contestants!I was blown away by his deep rich husky voice, definitely suitable for country music career. He needs to improve his stage presence and movement though,I felt it was too much standing in the middle)
Why Jermaine looked like some random douche?!His swagger is really irritating me!!
- Jermaine Sellers (what the hell was that??Over the top performance, too much runs,it was just show-off. Nothing special at all from this performance. For me,Jermaine is getting worse everyday,I don't like him anymore)
- Tim Urban (oh my....it was excruciating watching his performance. His facial reaction was very awkward, his stage movement's weird,he can't hit the high notes. It's trainwreck. Painful performance. The only thing that could save him is his good looking face)
- Joe Munoz (very good!! He should watch his enunciation though, can be a lil bit mumble, but I think he has a strong vocal, reminds me of David Archuleta, and he didn't show any nerve at all. I could see his determination and tenacity from his eyes)
- Tyler Graddy (urgh, too old/throw back. I hated it!! No no no no!! His gimmicky is getting old)
- Lee Dwyze (way better than my expectation,pretty good performance,nice vocal,nice rendition.Good job,Lee)
- John Park (his facial expression is hollow like when he sang and I felt uncomfortable watching it. He has great voice for sure,I could see that in some parts but he couldn't find his position on that song. Too bad,I had good expectation about him)
- Michael Lynche (karaoke-ish but at least it wasn't that bad)
I was astounded that the beginning of the show was great and it went downhill really fast from there.I thought the guys could done better judging from Todrick and Aaron's performances,I was wrong.
- Alex Lambert (awful performance,so awkward and amateur, tonight's show is killing me so bad!!They were all like amateurish singers)
- Casey James (the judges were so rude joking and laughing when Casey was performing. It made him laughed a bit in the beginning. Thus ruining the emotional connection of that performance. It's still very good though)
- Andrew Garcia (it's pretty amazing I'd say,I liked it. It was refreshing. I disagreed with the judges)

Very underwhelming 1st week. Sigh. And the judges really bashed the pimp spot contestants like Katie Stevens and Andrew Garcia. Never seen them like that before.

My rank:
1. Aaron Kelly
2. Todrick Hall
3. Joe Munoz
4. Andrew Garcia
5. Casey James
6. Lee Dwyze
7. John Park
8. Michael Lynche
9. Jermaine Sellers
10. Tim Urban
11. Alex Lambert
